We have been married for 4 years, and unable to carry children ourselves following a hysterectomy, we turned to surrogacy.
We began our journey in the USA in 2016, but unfortunately, our approach was not successful.
After multiple discussions with other couples in our situation, we chose Ukraine.
We started our journey at the beginning of 2019, accompanied by Hélène. Always available, extremely compassionate, and attentive, Hélène really helped us make our dream of being parents come true.
We were lucky to achieve a pregnancy on our first embryo transfer and even more so when we discovered we were expecting twins.
The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately prevented us from going to Kyiv to support our surrogate, but we were able to follow each ultrasound by video, which was really important and comforting for us. We had very regular contact with her throughout the pregnancy, which was very important for us.
Our daughters were born on August 18, the happiest day of our lives. We stayed five weeks in Ukraine to complete the administrative procedures… not easy during a health crisis.
Surrogacy is a long and difficult journey, sometimes fraught with pitfalls… you have to hold on and support each other. It’s a real emotional test! Hélène was there to reassure us, give us hope, as she did with all the couples going through this complex journey.
We held on, supported each other, and today we achieved our greatest dream… We are the happy parents of two beautiful two-month-old girls who fill us with happiness.
Thank you, Alexandra, our surrogate, an exceptional woman… and thank you, Hélène, for your support.
